Carolus mixtura®

Carolus Mixtura® is a natural non-alcoholic eight-herb product for the respiratory tract and throat. The active ingredients include sundew extract, liquorice syrup, peppermint oil, anise oil, thyme oil, clove oil, lavender oil and sage oil.

• Liquorice syrupLiquorice (Glygyrrhiza glabra) is one of the best-known natural substances. It can be perfectly combined with other herbs. It fades the taste of bitterer herbs. 
• Essential oils (peppermint, anise, thyme, carnation, lavender and sage). Anise oil and thyme oil help to maintain the normal well-being of mucous membranes by reducing the viscosity of respiratory tract mucus.

Sundew silica gel herb preparation
Nutritional supplement 200 ml

Recommended daily dose:
1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3-4 times a day. Shake before use.

The recommended daily dose of 15-20 ml per day contains:
Sundew extract 1500-2000 mg (corresponding to fresh sundew 1800-2400 mg), liquorice syrup 1500-2000 mg, silica 465-620 mg, carmellose 28-37 mg, essential oils 19-25 mg, (peppermint oil 9-12 mg, anise oil 5- 7 mg, thyme oil 2-3 mg, clove oil 1 mg, lavender oil 1 mg, sage oil 1 mg).

Ingredients: Demineralized water, liquorice syrup (EU), vegetable glycerol sundew extract (non-EU), silica (EU), carmellose (EU), peppermint oil (non-EU), preservative: potassium sorbate, anise oil (non-EU), acidity regulator: citric acid, (non-EU), thyme oil (non-EU), preservative: sodium benzoate, clove oil (non-EU), lavender oil (non-EU), sage oil (non-EU).
Contains liquorice – people suffering from hypertension should avoid excessive consumption.
Alcohol-free, gluten-free, vegan and lactose-free. No added sugar.
Manufactured in Finland.

The recommended daily dose must not be exceeded. Nutritional supplement does not substitute a balanced and varied diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of small children. Store in a dry place at room temperature. Once opened, can be stored in the refrigerator.

Further information about the ingredients: 

Anise oil. is obtained by steam distillation of anise (Pimpinella anisum L.) seeds. Anise oil consists mainly of trans-ethanol (80-95%).

Thyme oil. is obtained by steam distillation of the above-ground green parts of thyme (Thymus vulgaris L. and Th. zygis L.).

Carmellose fibre is galactomannan obtained from spruce.

Peppermint oil is obtained by steam distillation of mint plants (Menta x piperita L. and M. arvensis L. var. piperascens Homes ex Christy).

Sage oil is obtained by steam distillation of sage leaves (Salvia officinalis L. ssp. minor and major, S. triloba L. and S. officinalis Vahl. Ssp. lavandulifolia).

Lavender oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers and flowering shoot tops of lavender (Lavendula angustifolia Miller syn. L. officinalis Chaix and L. Vera DC).

Clove oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fully opened flowers of cloves (Dianthus caryophillus L.).
