Minerals, the universe and you –
what exactly are minerals?
What exactly are minerals?
Minerals (meaning minerals and trace elements in this context) are elements—the same elements found in the periodic table in a high school chemistry textbook, such as chromium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and so on. These elements make up the entire universe, the earth and everything on it, including you.
Your body is a true masterpiece formed from these same elements. It is important that you replenish your body with these elements that it consumes on a daily basis.
Chemical and electrical processes of the body
Chemical and electrical processes are happening in your body every moment. These processes only work properly if the mineral balance is consistently correct. Iron for your blood, sulfur for your muscles, calcium for your bones and many other elements in balanced small (trace) amounts ensure the proper functioning of your body.
What are ions?
An ion is a mineral or element that has a positive or negative electrical charge. At the molecular level, this means that the element has either “too many” or “too few” electrons. This unstable ionic state allows the element to immediately bind to water, allowing it to be absorbed into the body through body fluids. In this state, the element has a certain positive or negative characteristic, which, as multiple effects, brings about their optimal balance. The body can thus easily transfer different nutrients to the areas that need them, with the help of their increased resources and elements, that is to say, their building materials. When the building materials are available, there is a rebuild
What are trace elements?
You might collect silver coins, wear a platinum ring, or have a gold spot on your tooth. You’ve probably drunk tea from a copper pot, eaten a cookie from a fancy pewter dish, or traveled in a plane made of titanium. But did you know that these and many other elements—in very small, balanced amounts—are critical to your health? Although trace elements are no longer as abundant in food, they are still remarkably abundant in the right proportions in the mineral-rich waters of the Earth’s seas.
Depletion of soils
Traditionally, eating fresh grains, fruits, and vegetables (as well as nutrient-dense meats) produced in nutrient-rich soil have been the most important sources of full-spectrum ionic minerals.
Unfortunately, in today’s world, naturally nutrient-rich soil is an increasingly rare treat. Thousands of years of farming and more aggressive modern farming techniques (intensive production) have since depleted the earth of minerals. Plants do grow with fewer minerals, but then their nutrient richness does not rise to the most optimal level.
All of this eventually accumulates in us – we stay alive even with fewer minerals, but if we want to get the most out of our lives on a sustainable basis and want to be the best versions of ourselves – then we should pay attention to the amount and breadth of minerals even more detailed attention.
The importance of minerals and their absorption
Every second – every day, your body relies on ionic minerals and trace elements to generate billions of tiny electrical impulses. Without these impulses, no muscle, including your heart, would be able to function. Your brain wouldn’t work and your cells wouldn’t be able to use osmosis to balance your blood pressure and absorb nutrients properly. Getting minerals and trace elements and electrolytes ensures that you get the resources you need for optimal body function.
Experts estimate that up to 90 percent of Americans suffer from mineral imbalances and deficiencies.
Alarming trend: Mineral imbalance
Since your body needs nearly two-thirds of all known elements to maintain health, maintaining a balance of these minerals is complex but extremely important. The events of everyday life require a constant intake of minerals. There are 92 known elements, 22 putative equivalents, and hundreds of isotopic variations. It is no wonder that scientists are only now beginning to understand the effects of minerals and their interactions relationships in the human body, such as how minerals help maintain a healthy balance and what harmful effects can arise from mineral imbalance and deficiency.
The important role of mineral absorption
Mineral absorption takes place mainly in the small intestine. When food passes through the intestines, minerals are transferred to the bloodstream through the walls of the intestines with the help of intestinal villi. This can only happen if the minerals are in ionic form. Although stomach acid helps to ionize the minerals in food, the mineral supplement should already contain naturally ionized minerals so that they are absorbed properly and thus free up resources for the body for its other important actions.
The secret of life lies in the ‘dead inland sea’
North America’s Great Salt Lake is the world’s oldest inland sea. As a remnant of the last great ice age, Utah’s Great Salt Lake has collected and concentrated the minerals and trace elements of the Rockies for tens of thousands of years. The result is nutrient-rich waters that contain more than 70 ionic minerals and trace elements, which are eight to ten times more densely concentrated compared to ordinary seawater – and tismal in the same in relation to a person with optimal nutritional status.
The manufacturer of Biomed’s Multimineral drops and their American partner Trace Minerals Research draw minerals and trace elements for their Multimineral drops from here.
What can you do?
You can start by making sure you get enough minerals in your diet. Eat organically grown fruits and vegetables and pastured or wild meat. This is already a very good start, but even these measures may leave your body in need of a wider range of properly proportioned, readily available ionic minerals and trace elements. A ‘missing piece’ of the whole may be left exhausted, but the emergency is not like this, but a solution to the whole is finally found closer than one might easily believe:
May we be of assistance?
For more than 35 years, Trace Minerals Research, the manufacturer of Biomed’s TRACE Multimineral drops, has been dedicated to fighting the growing problems of mineral deficiency and imbalance in today’s society. By collecting health-promoting ionic minerals from Utah’s Great Salt Lake and making them available
Over the years, thousands of people who have suffered from a lack of essential minerals and trace elements in their diet have since felt a distinct difference in their health and well-being after supplementing with these important nutrients. Maybe you could try it too?
Biomed’s Multimineral drops contain only one single ingredient – the full-spectrum ConcenTrace® multimineral concentrate. Despite only one ingredient, it contains a huge range of valuable minerals and trace elements shaped by nature in exactly the right proportions.
We always make sure that each batch of Biomed’s Multimineral drops contains the following elements (listed from largest to smallest):
Magnesium, chloride, potassium, sulfate, sodium, boron, bromide, calcium, carbonate, silicon, nitrogen, selenium, phosphorus, iodine, chromium, iron, manganese, titanium, rubidium, cobalt, copper, antimony, molybdenum, strontium, zinc, nickel, tungsten, scandium, tin, lanthanum, yttrium, silver, gallium, zirconium, vanadium, beryllium, tellurium, bismuth, hafnium, terbium, europium, gadolinium, samarium, cerium, cesium, gold, dysprosium, holmium, lutetium, erbium, ytterbium, neodymium, praseodymium, niobium, tantalum, thorium, thallium, rhenium and other rarer minerals found in seawater.
Biomed’s TRACE Multimineral drops in a nutshell
This naturally occurring, liquid mineral and trace element nutritional supplement contains a comprehensive spectrum of minerals and trace elements in ionic form. These minerals have been obtained through the mountainous and diverse soil on the foothills of the Great Salt Lake due to erosion and water flows in the rock formations. Since the minerals in question dissolve into the water many times more than they are collected, collecting them is only and only beneficial to nature. In addition, their collection process is patented and as ecological as possible, so that all possible aspects of the product are at their best.
Jacques Cousteau once said that “The future of nutrition is found in the seas”. He might be closer to the truth with his thoughts than he thought.
Will you join us in rebuilding our beloved world?
Let’s start with ourselves first and then help others do the same. With a durable base – one missing piece at a time.
